MaineDOT Commissioner Visits AIT Bridges Office and Manufacturing Warehouse.

Updated: Aug 26, 2020

Last week, MaineDOT Commissioner, Bruce Van Note, and MaineDOT Deputy Commissioner, Nina Fisher, met with AIT Bridges President and former MaineDOT Chief Engineer, Ken Sweeney. Van Note and Fisher were happy to catch up with Ken Sweeney and see CT Girders for the Grist Mill Bridge Project in person. As a surprise, AIT set up a test section of the CT Girder for Van Note and Fisher to try their luck with a sledge hammer. The test section is light enough to lift by Van Note and Fisher, but showed strength and resilience when met with the sledgehammer. See the video below of Van Note taking the sledgehammer to the CT Girder Test Section.
